Changing the path for males most at risk.

LADMAR and Fathers United for Change (FUFC) work with at-risk males—reaching youth and men caught in or close to cycles of violence—through leadership development, life skills, and violence interruption. Participants build practical tools for personal transformation: education support, positive masculinity, parenting skills, and pathways toward economic empowerment. In Trench Town and other inner-city communities, pressures like violence, unemployment, trauma, and influence from the streets can be constant—and without steady support and real opportunity, cycles of conflict and instability repeat in homes, schools, and the streets. We teach Godly principles that reinforce dignity, accountability, and purpose, and we pair that with structure and skills so men can apply themselves, lead well, and build stable futures that strengthen families and Jamaica.

What Are We Doing?

  • Engage at-risk males through leadership development and structured personal growth
  • Use violence interruption and accountability-focused support to break harmful cycles
  • Strengthen life skills, education foundations, and decision-making
  • Provide parenting tools that help fathers show up with consistency and care
  • Build employability through entrepreneurship and skills training
  • Reinforce growth through retreats, outward-bound experiences, sports, and performing arts

Why it matters

  • Violence doesn’t only harm individuals—it destabilises families, schools, and entire communities
  • Many at-risk males lack safe, constructive spaces to build identity, purpose, and accountability
  • Father involvement and positive masculinity reduce household stress and improve child outcomes
  • Skills training and economic pathways reduce pressure toward harmful survival choices
  • When Trench Town builds stronger male leadership, Jamaica benefits through safer communities and healthier families
